On Saturday, August 25, 2018, SkyHealth’s coordinator Don MacMillan, with Pilot Mike Conti, Flight Nurse Margaret Healy, and Flight Paramedic Amen Alhaidi descended on the Fishers Island softball field – one of four emergency landing locations on the island.
“All essential EMS and Fire personnel, including our officers, were given notice Saturday morning about the arrival of SkyHealth – the same notice we received a short time before the landing. I staged this as a surprise drill to simulate what an emergency would be like. We had a good turn out and the drill went well.”
